19.05.2024 | 11:36 |At KazanForum-2024, the results of the Yunus Ahmetzyanov young chefs competition were summed up, which this year acquired the status of an international one. It was attended by representatives of the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Grand Prix was awarded to a specialist from Morocco, Oadidou Redouane.
"I am proud that I was able to overcome everything, I am very pleased with the organization and work of the jury. I really like cooking, no matter what cuisine – Italian, Japanese, Russian or Tatar. However, I brought most of the products with me, including spices, which are not available here. I brought with me cumin, paprika, saffron, a special Moroccan puff pastry and agar-agar," Ouadidou said.
Brand chef of Memsol Group of companies, chef of Cafe Skazka LLC, chairman of the judging panel of the Yunus Ahmetzyanov Young Chefs Tournament Andrey Sakhovsky noted that criteria such as appearance, taste and presentation of the dish were taken into account during the evaluation.
"It was also important here that Redouane, despite all the difficulties, overcame them. We assigned assistants to each of them to prepare nine dishes. He practically handled it alone. His dishes were very tasty and of good quality," Sakhovsky said.
Chefs from 13 countries took part in the tournament. The peculiarity of the competition was that not only the jury members could taste the dishes, but also everyone visited KazanForum. Young specialists from Egypt, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Iran and many other countries came to show their skills.
