 Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan can create the Caspian Register of Qualifications

Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region can participate in the creation of the Caspian Register of Qualifications, which involves the involvement of local employers in the development of professional educational programs for specialized educational institutions. In turn, students will be able to acquire relevant knowledge and skills at existing enterprises, both in Turkmenistan and in Astrakhan.

The corresponding project was proposed to colleagues from Turkmenistan by the Minister of Education and Science of the Astrakhan region, Egor Ugarov, speaking at a round table on Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the field of education. It was held on the sidelines of the Turkmen-Russian Business Forum in Ashgabat, Astrakhan 24 reports.

As the Minister stressed, Turkmen citizens will have the opportunity to practice and get a job at enterprises of the Astrakhan region of Russia. Ugarov singled out agriculture, shipbuilding, education, healthcare and creative industries among the popular areas of activity.

Olga Bashkina, Rector of Astrakhan State Medical University, shared her vision of the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of education. Thus, she noted the need to expand the direction of research activities with universities and scientific research centers, including under the program "Apothecary garden".

Currently, 180 students, residents and postgraduates from Turkmenistan study at Astrakhan Medical University.

The Vice-Rector of Astrakhan State University named after V. N. Tatishchev for International Activities Angelina Fadina expressed her willingness to accept Turkmen students in areas that meet the needs of the modern world market. In particular, educational programs are offered to train personnel for Turkmenistan in the field of fisheries, agriculture, oil and gas industries and in IT areas.
