US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Union of Economists of Turkmenistan (UET) have held for 15 representatives of successful local business a three-day online course devoted to venture financing of start-ups - risky, but thus potentially highly remunerative enterprise initiatives.
The action was held within the project frameworks «Business possibilities of preceptorship and investments», aimed at encouragement of innovative development and creation of industry of venture investment and acceleration centres in the country to promote access of the Turkmen companies abroad and advancement of their production in the markets.
For the conduction of the course skilled venture investors - operating partners of the first private venture fund in the territory of Central Asia «MOST Ventures» Alim Hamitov and Mirat Ahmedsadykov, and also the financial manager of the fund Ilyas Mirzagaliev have been invited.
Participants of seminars got acquainted with such topics as investment strategy, estimation of start-ups, role of the team of founders, kinds of business models, structurization of transactions and tendency in the global market of start-ups.
Having received new knowledge in the field of venture investment, representatives of business circles of Turkmenistan will take part now in the Startup Demo Day on August 25. The ideas and plans of the start-ups developed by participants of the program «Startup Ecosystem-2021» will be presented of UET and USAID in it.
The Turkmen business will also have an opportunity to take part in central Asian regional demonstration days of start-ups where they can receive practical experience in estimation of perceptiveness of start-ups-projects in neighbouring countries.
