The end of May in Turkmenistan will be marked by a series of major national holidays and celebrations. At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the approaching significant dates and signed a decree "On the Celebration of Eid al-Adha," which designates official non-working days for all institutions and businesses in the country, regardless of ownership.
According to the document, aimed at carefully preserving centuries-old spiritual traditions, principles of humanism, and the unity of the Turkmen people, Eid al-Adha will be widely celebrated over three days—May 27, 28, and 29, 2026.
Furthermore, the President of Turkmenistan reminded that Ashgabat City Day and the traditional school graduation holiday, "Last Bell," will be widely celebrated across the country this coming Monday, May 25. Taking this opportunity, Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly congratulated his compatriots on the upcoming May holidays, wishing them good health, prosperity, and a festive spring mood.
