Vyacheslav Sarkisyan, photographer from Turkmenistan, was awarded the diploma of major international competition AFAN 2018 International Exhibition of Photography, the results of which have become known in Saudi Arabia.
The competition was held among 780 participants from different parts of the world. They submitted 1450 photos in the sections as portrait, photojournalism, travel and free theme.
The jury admitted “Gulnara” portraited by Vyacheslav in 2010. The photo pictured a young lady in a national Turkmen dress who is looking at the viewer. Her image is fully comes close with the name that means “Pomegranate Flower”. Bright, fresh, fascinating composition reveals the charm of youth and the harmony of the national costume.
Another onteresting thing, many participants in the competition also presented works on the traditions and customs of their nations. The theme of preserving cultural heritage was the main slogan of the exhibition.
AFAN 2018 International Exhibition of Photography competition is not the first success of the photographer from Turkmenistan. He is an honorary member of the FIAP International Federation of Photographic Art, and has more than 350 awards from competitions from more than forty countries of the world – China, Central Asia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, France, Germany, Greece, the USA and others.
