Taldykorgan Kazakh Drama Theater named after Biken Rimova will take part in the IV International Theater Festival, which will be held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag from November 14 to 16.
One of the leading theaters in Kazakhstan will present a production based on the story of the famous writer and playwright Mukhtar Auezov, who wrote it in 1921, “The Fate of the Defenseless.” The performance immerses the viewer in the atmosphere of a Kazakh village of the last century, telling the difficult story of one family.
The drama reveals the pain and suffering in the lives of poor, defenseless people. At the same time, it raises questions of morality, humanity, kindness and cruelty, compassion, and makes you think, because the topic of defenseless people is still relevant today, in any society, and there is reason to think about why the strong dominate the weak, and the rich over the poor.
The play “The Fate of the Defenseless” will be shown on Tuesday, November 14 at the National Drama Theater of Turkmenistan named after Alp Arslan. Starts at 17:30, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
