Oriented on making people closer

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation on Friday, September 22.

"The head of the friendly country cordially congratulated the head of Turkmenistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, happiness and success in his multifaceted and responsible state activities for the prosperity of the sovereign Motherland, the well-being of the Turkmen people," TDH said in a statement.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan highly appreciates relations with fraternal Uzbekistan, and noted a new qualitative level of cooperation between the two countries, which has been achieved in recent years.

During the telephone conversation, topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed.

"The development of constructive political dialogue and fruitful interdepartmental contacts was noted with satisfaction. The volumes of mutual trade are growing, the project of creating the Khorezm-Dashoguz border zone is being jointly implemented," the press service of the Uzbek leader said. The information also mentions that Days of Turkmen Culture will be held in Uzbekistan in October.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan exchanged views on the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in Central Asia, including within the framework of existing multilateral formats.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also congratulated the President and the people of Turkmenistan on the upcoming Independence Day of the country.
