Turkmen teachers are invited to global online courses in English

Applications are being accepted for the winter session of the global online courses of the Online Professional English Network (OPEN) program, in which English teachers from Turkmenistan are invited to participate. The course will be held from January 9 to March 4, 2024. Before the beginning of each semester, a four-week orientation training will be conducted.

Interested candidates can apply by October 1 by filling out a special form. The OPEN program is open to non-U.S. citizens residing outside the United States. Advanced training courses, lasting 8 weeks, are developed by universities in the USA.

Within the framework of virtual learning, topics such as the development and teaching of academic writing courses, the creation and implementation of online courses (CIOC), increasing student motivation and engagement (FSME) and the TESOL methodology (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) – certification of English teachers for non-native speakers are presented.

The courses include not only improving the level of English language proficiency, but also developing the skills of using educational technologies in English lessons and teaching English in the fight against climate change. Participants will have access to a variety of educational materials.

OPEN Global Online Courses (GOC) are held four times a year: in autumn (September 26 – November 20, 2023), in winter (January 9 – March 4, 2024), in spring (April 9 – June 3, 2024) and in summer (July 2 – August 26, 2024).
