Oriented on making people closer

The launch of the Central Asian transport and logistics platform was proposed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking on Thursday at the summit of the heads of state of Central Asia in Dushanbe, Turkmenistan Today reports.

“The launch of the Central Asian transport and logistics platform will contribute to the creation of transport hubs in the region, the formation of new transit corridors and increasing the efficiency of existing ones, as well as the optimization and improvement of customs, migration and other types of procedures along international transport routes passing through the territories of our states”, the source quotes Serdar Berdimuhamedov as saying.

The transport sector has been and remains a strategic component of cooperation. Through the joint efforts of the countries of the region, favorable conditions are gradually being created for freight and passenger traffic between the states of Central Asia, as well as with other regions of the Eurasian continent, the President of Turkmenistan noted.
