The Turkmenistan national football team drew with the Bahrain team at the training camp in Dubai (UAE).

Meeting held at Police Officers’ Stadium Club Stadium ended with a score of 1:1.

Bahrain's players took the lead in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes, the midfielder of the Turkmen team Teymur Charyev restored the balance in the score with an accurate shot.

As the head coach of the Turkmenistan national football team Mergen Orazov told ORIENT earlier, friendly matches held during FIFA days will be an additional stage in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament.

Recall that according to the results of the draw for the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament, which took place in July, the Turkmenistan national team was in group "E", where it will play with the teams of Iran, Uzbekistan, as well as with the winner of the pair of the first qualifying round Hong Kong - Bhutan.

Already on November 16, the national team of Turkmenistan will begin its journey in the second round of the qualifying tournament of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a home match against the team of Uzbekistan.
