The state and possibilities for expanding Turkmen-Chinese relations in the context of the strategic partnership of the two countries, interaction on the cultural- humanitarian track and in various sectors of the economy became the subject of negotiations between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hadjiev and Deputy Director of the Chinese International Development and Cooperation Agency Dan Boqing.
During the meeting, which took place on Monday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the interlocutors noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations and exchanged views on the development of cooperation in the context of the implementation of projects in the oil and gas sector, as well as in the fields of education and healthcare, the press service of the diplomatic department reported.
The China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) was founded in 2018 to “fully explore the role of foreign aid as one of the key means of China's diplomacy,” especially in support of the Belt and Road Initiative. CIDCA also monitors and evaluates the implementation of major programs such as COVID-19 vaccine distribution and overseas infrastructure projects.
