An expert from Turkmenistan participated in the training program of the Academy of Youth Leadership of Central Asia in Almaty

Representative of the Society for the Protection of Nature of Turkmenistan, Mikhail Minenkov, became a participant in the interregional training program "CAYLA - Academy of Youth Leadership of Central Asia". The training was held in the Kazakh city of Almaty from May 28 to June 4 and brought together experts in the field of ecology and environmental protection from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

CAYLA is part of the five-year Central Asia Social Innovation Program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Eurasia Foundation. The project is a platform for interaction, networking with like-minded people, as well as improving knowledge and practical skills. Young leaders between the ages of 18 and 30 can participate.

In Almaty, specialists participated in interactive educational sessions on project management, effective communications, as well as critical thinking and public speaking skills. We mastered the basics of fundraising and met with international experts to exchange experiences.

At the end of the training course participants received certificates of participation in the program.

To date, over 340 young leaders and activists from all over Central Asia have taken part in the CAYLA program.
