Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated the expediency of conducting research by Turkmen scientists in the field of the use of medicinal plants of the country in industry and preparing relevant international tenders.

The head of the supreme representative body of the people's power raised this topic during a workshop on the development of the city of Arkadag, the construction of the second stage of which will be focused mainly on building up local industrial capacities, TDH reports.

It is reported that great hopes are pinned on the second stage in the implementation of plans for the construction of modern production facilities, whose products will satisfy not only the domestic market, but also the foreign one. They also talked about the creation of modern medical institutions.

Touching upon the topic of medicine, the national leader of the Turkmen people raised the issue of increasing cooperation with the World Health Organization. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the expediency of announcing an international tender for the construction of industrial infrastructure as part of the second stage of construction of the city of Arkadag.
