Canon intends to cooperate with smartphone manufacturers

The Japanese brand of photographic equipment, optical and office equipment Canon is looking for a company among smartphone manufacturers with which it intends to cooperate in the projection of mobile cameras.

The names of potential partners have not yet been disclosed. Companies such as Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and Xiaomi, which are already working with other brands, may be excluded from the list. Among the well-known manufacturers not involved in the collaboration are Samsung, Apple, Asus, Google, Huawei, Honor, Nothing, Motorola and Realme.

What exactly Canon's cooperation with smartphone manufacturers will be based on is also still a mystery — it is unknown whether the company will engage in full-fledged camera development or offer minor add-ons for color filters and optimizations.
