China and Uzbekistan will open a plant for the production of electric vehicles this fall

The Chinese company BYD Auto and the Uzbek company Auto Motors will open the BYD Uzbekistan Factory in Uzbekistan this fall, which will annually produce more than 50 thousand electric vehicles, reports ixbt.com.

The production of modern vehicles — hybrids and electric cars — will be established on the basis of the existing Jizzakh Auto plant in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan.

BYD Uzbekistan Factory will be the first factory of a Chinese company outside China. Initially, it will produce the Chazor sedan (Destroyer 05) and the SongPlus crossover.

It is expected that more than 2 thousand new jobs will be created at the joint venture.
