Apple unveils long-awaited augmented reality headset

At a "special event" to be held at the headquarters in Apple Park, the American Apple Corporation will present the xrOS operating system for the mixed reality headset and the device itself.

The presentation will take place on June 5 as part of the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

According to analysts, the headset can stimulate the entire AR/VR augmented reality industry. The headset will be equipped with advanced technologies, including advanced hand and eye tracking, ultra-high-resolution displays and an Apple M2 chip. It will also receive more than a dozen cameras and sensors. The price for it can be 3-4 thousand US dollars.

"We will be holding a special event at Apple Park that will last all day to kick off an incredible week of online sessions and events. Join us to watch the State of the Union keynote speech and videos together, get to know some Apple teams, celebrate great apps at the Apple Design Awards ceremony and enjoy evening events," the Apple press service said, officially announcing the "special event."

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is intended mainly for developers. However, Apple is also introducing new versions of operating systems for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
