Sustainable management of land resources in the Aral basin was discussed in Dashoguz

The United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan held a round table on conservation and sustainable management of land resources in the Aral Sea basin in the Dashoguz region, according to the organization's Instagram page.
The purpose of the event is to form a local working group, which will further contribute to solving technical, organizational and other issues related to the implementation of the relevant project.
The round table was organized within the framework of the project "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems of high natural value in the Aral Sea basin for multiple benefits", which is implemented by UNDP jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
The project is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). It is aimed at promoting the neutralization of land degradation, restoration and improvement of the use of land and water resources in the Aral Sea region.
