The 5th World Nomad Games in 2024 will be held in Kazakhstan, in connection with which President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the government to start preparing for the international competition. On Thursday, the Kazakh leader met with head of the Association of National Sports of Kazakhstan Islambek Salzhanov and instructed to prepare for the organization of competitions and effectively use the opportunities of small and medium-sized businesses, including in the areas of folk crafts, services and tourism, the press service of the head of state reports.
As you know, last fall, the World Ethnosport Confederation unanimously supported Kazakhstan's application to host competitions in 2024.
The first World Nomad Games were held in 2014 on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Recall that Kyrgyzstan was the initiator of the Games. The second and third Nomad Games were also held in Kyrgyzstan, while the fourth took place in 2022 in the Turkish city of Iznik.
