The new Turkmen city of Arkadag was presented at the CIS headquarters in Minsk
On Tuesday, a meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the CIS headquarters in Minsk on Tuesday.
The meeting, which was held via videoconferencing, was attended by Chairman of the Executive Committee - Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev and his deputies.
During the meeting, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS Nazarguly Shagulyev made an introductory report on the construction of a new administrative center of the Akhal region - the city of Arkadag.
Shagulyev focused on the combination of modern technologies and environmental standards, innovative solutions to social problems with care for people in the new city of Arkadag. The ambassador stressed that the new city is being built exclusively by Turkmen forces, and advanced world practices are used in the implementation of the project.
The meeting participants were also shown a video about the new city of Arkadag, which gives a visual representation of this grandiose project, implemented in line with the smart city concept.
