Turkmen judoists will perform at the Grand Slam tournament in France
31.01.2023 | 13:54 |Judoists from Turkmenistan will demonstrate their skills at the international Grand Slam tournament, which will be held in Paris in early February. ORIENT was informed about this by the National Judo Federation.
The Turkmen team included — Hakberdy Jumaev (up to 60 kg), Aybek Omirov (up to 60 kg), Hekim Agamammedov (up to 66 kg), Serdar Rahimov (up to 66 kg), Parahat Nazarov (up to 73 kg), as well as Aksoltan Hojageldyeva (up to 48 kg), Kurbanai Kurbanova (up to 48 kg) and Maysa Pardaeva (up to 57 kg).
The tournament held by the International Judo Federation will bring together a total of over 500 wrestlers from 80 countries.
Turkmen athletes will go to Paris after other prestigious competitions — the Grand Prix in Portugal, where Turkmenistan was represented by the same composition of judoists.
At the Grand Prix, Serdar Rahimov, who competed in the weight category up to 66 kg, entered the top five in his discipline. The Turkmen athlete won four fights out of six.
