On the eve of the start of the new season, the Football Federation of Turkmenistan held a working meeting with the heads and representatives of the country's top league clubs, the official website of the organization reports.

The meeting summed up the results of the last football season and outlined plans for the upcoming competitive period.

Thus, the participants were informed about the dates of the official qualifying matches of the national and youth (U23) national football teams of Turkmenistan, the planned training camps and friendly matches in preparation for international tournaments.

In September of this year, the youth team of Turkmenistan (U23) will compete in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup - 2024. In turn, the national team will take part in the qualification round of the 2026 World Championship.

Representatives of football clubs also discussed the issues of holding national tournaments this year — the Championship of Turkmenistan, the Cup and the Super Cup of the country.
