Alexander Novak discussed possible joint projects with the Deputy Prime Minister for the Fuel and Energy Complex of Turkmenistan

Russian oil companies are ready to participate in joint projects to develop fields in Turkmenistan, the press service of the Russian government reports.
“Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak held a working meeting in Ashgabat with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Shahym Abdrakhmanov. The parties discussed the interaction between Russia and Turkmenistan in the oil and gas sector, electric power industry, in the field of renewable energy sources and peaceful atom,” the message says.
Russian companies offer their services in the field of modernization of the electric power system of Turkmenistan with the involvement of domestic contractors for the supply of equipment. Oil companies are ready to participate in joint projects to develop fields in Turkmenistan. They also discussed cooperation in the field of oil and gas supplies, the construction of gas infrastructure, and the preservation of environmental safety in the Caspian Sea.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak stressed that the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan are old friends, reliable partners, time-tested and bound by centuries-old ties of friendship and good neighborliness.
"Moscow and Ashgabat are ready to further expand cooperation on the basis of equality, mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests," Novak said.
