On Tuesday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the heads of regions and the Deputy Prime Minister for agriculture in a video link format. The main topic of the meeting is the current state of affairs in the agricultural sector of the country. The issues of the implementation of the national socio-economic program on the ground, the uninterrupted functioning of heat, gas, water and electricity supply networks were also considered.

The heads of regional administrations reported on the progress of seasonal field work, including the care of wheat crops, preparation for the upcoming sowing of cotton, planting potatoes of early varieties and other fruit and vegetable crops. They also talked about the ongoing harvesting of sugar beet in the Balkan and Mary regions.

The Head of state gave personal instructions to each leader on monitoring ongoing agricultural work and solving socio-economic problems, after which he listened to a summary report by Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov, who provided information on agricultural production indicators in the whole country, the course of seasonal campaigns and the state of the material and technical base of the agro-industrial complex.

In particular, he reported on the equipment received in the country, purchased by the state for the needs of the industry, providing the villagers with everything necessary, including cotton seeds for future sowing, equipment and aggregates.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov summed up the report with a comprehensive assessment and gave the Deputy Prime Minister a number of instructions, focusing on the importance of developing rental relations in the conditions of the formation of the market structure of the agricultural sector, improving the organization of forms of production and labor, rural entrepreneurship.
