Turkmenistan celebrates World Children's Day

Every year, on November 20, World Children's Day is celebrated in many countries. This holiday was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly 69 years ago. The Declaration of the Rights of the Child was adopted on the same day in 1959, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted in 1989.
Since then, this holiday has been celebrated as the day of world brotherhood and mutual understanding of children. Turkmenistan also celebrated it on Sunday with a series of awareness-raising campaigns.
The organizers of these actions were the USAID Program "Safe Migration in Central Asia" in cooperation with the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of the country, the Information Resource Center of the US Embassy, the UNODC Office in Turkmenistan, UNICEF, as well as the public organization "Yenme".
One of these events resulted in a fun educational event in the Berkarar shopping and entertainment center in Ashgabat.
About how all this happened – in the report of Shukurgeldi Myradov and in the photographs of Suleiman Charyev.
