Adoption of a resolution on declaring the Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace is expected at the end of November

The adoption by the UN General Assembly of the resolution proposed by Turkmenistan on declaring 2023 the "International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace" is expected at the end of November, Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Khadzhiev said at the 18th meeting of the heads of foreign affairs agencies of the states of Central Asia and the European Union, held in Samarkand in Thursday.
The head of the Turkmen delegation also invited colleagues from Central Asia and the European Union to take part in the upcoming Ashgabat International Week and the conference “Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace” in the second decade of December, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Vepa Khadzhiev noted in his speech that the current meeting is taking place a few weeks after the first European Union-Central Asia summit, and that the joint summit adopted at the end of the summit should become the starting point for further discussions on a wide range of multilateral cooperation.
The next ministerial meeting in the European Union-Central Asia format will be held in 2023 in Brussels.
