Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk discussed bilateral partnership

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation Alexei Overchuk.
During the meeting, the promotion of joint projects and programs, the development of bilateral relations in various fields, including at the inter-parliamentary level, were considered. In this aspect, the effectiveness of the recent visit of Chairman of the Upper House of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Moscow was noted.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Aleksey Overchuk focused on contacts in the trade, economic, scientific and technical fields, noted the stable growth of trade between the two countries and singled out such sectors as oil and gas, industry, transport and logistics among the most dynamic and promising in terms of development of the Turkmen- Russian partnership. The role of the joint intergovernmental commission in the diversification of economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation was noted.
The head of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia also discussed cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including in the field of culture, education and science, as well as in healthcare.
