Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are close friends, strategic partners and fraternal countries

Chairman of the upper house of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov on November 11 in the Uzbek city of Samarkand on the sidelines of the Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OT). This is reported by the official website of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Head of Kyrgyzstan congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on receiving the award of the "Highest Order of the Turkic World". He noted that this badge of distinction clearly testifies to the personal contribution of the Turkmen ex-president to strengthening the unity and solidarity of the Turkic states, as well as to improving the international image of OTG.
Further, an exchange of views took place on the assessment of the current state of bilateral relations. Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction the high level of cooperation between the two countries and appreciated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's contribution to strengthening Turkmen-Kyrgyz cooperation.
In turn, the Chairman of the upper chamber of the Turkmen Parliament noted the importance of building and deepening bilateral ties, including at the level of the parliaments of the countries.
The parties also considered the issues of organizing visits at the highest level. Sadyr Zhaparov invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to visit Kyrgyzstan at a convenient time.
