 Turkmenistan's GDP growth for the first nine months of this year amounted to 6.2%

The growth of Turkmenistan's gross domestic product for the first nine months of 2022 amounted to 6.2%. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an expanded meeting of the government of the country dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development of the country for three quarters of this year.

Summing up the meeting, the Head of state noted that despite the difficulties in the global economy, the results of the nine months of the year indicate the successful development of the country. He stressed that Turkmenistan's GDP growth amounted to 6.2%, foreign trade turnover increased by 40%, and over 20 billion manats of capital investments were disbursed from all sources of financing.

It was noted at the meeting that the plan for oil production was fulfilled by 100.7%, oil refining – by 110.9, gasoline production – by 115.7, diesel fuel – by 111.6, polypropylene – by 122.3, lubricating oils – by 101.1 and liquefied gas – by 113.9%. It was also stressed that the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas was fulfilled by 115.3%, and the export of "blue fuel" – by 125.9%.
