Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldy Rejepov took part in the meeting of the International Council of Business Cooperation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Caspian region "Business Caspian". The meeting was held on Wednesday at the Skolkovo Technopark as part of the program of the II Caspian Economic Forum, held on October 5-6 in Moscow.
The meeting was moderated by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin. He noted that "today, due to the withdrawal of Western companies from the Russian market, numerous niches are opening up that can be occupied by companies from partner countries in the Caspian Sea."
Sergey Katyrin recalled that recently, on June 29, the VI Caspian Summit was held in Ashgabat, during which special emphasis was placed on building up economic ties.
In this aspect, the transit capabilities of the region, in particular, the international transport corridor "North-South", play an important role. According to experts, the implementation of the project will allow the Caspian region to become one of the largest hubs of multimodal transcontinental transportation in Eurasia. The development of the transport corridor and the creation of the Caspian cluster will be the main generator of economic growth for the entire region in the coming years.
The participants of the Business Caspian meeting exchanged views on the ways of successful business development in the new conditions, discussed geopolitical risks and their impact on trade in the Caspian region, the actions of chambers of commerce and industry on the Caspian track.
The development of joint projects and cooperative ties, new digital opportunities of exhibition, fair and congress activities, protection of business interests by arbitration bodies, promotion of expert services were considered.
"Business Caspian" is a platform for dialogue, where entrepreneurs-members of chambers of commerce and industry, representatives of legislative and executive authorities meet and work in order to develop trade and economic cooperation of the member countries of the association.
