Serdar Berdimuhamedov replaced the leadership of the water sector of Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov dismissed Guyzgeldi Baijanov from the post of chairman of the State Committee for Water Resources and appointed Durdy Gendzhiev as head of this structure. The head of state signed decrees on this on Friday at a meeting of the Turkmen government following the results for the past eight months of the year, the evening newscast of Turkmen television reported.
And if Baidzhanov left with the wording “in connection with his transfer to another job,” then two of his deputies were dismissed from their posts as having failed in their duties. Instead of them, new vice-chairmen have been appointed, who until that moment held the posts of deputy minister of agriculture and environmental protection.
The Turkmen leader pointed out Durdy Genjiev such primary tasks of water resource management as increasing the capacity of reservoirs, improving the condition of reclamation networks and ensuring agricultural needs.
