Putin awarded Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland"

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on awarding the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" IV degree, to the former president of Turkmenistan, and now the speaker of the Upper House of the Turkmen Parliament, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Interfax reports citing the official portal of legal information.
“For a great contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, award the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" IV degree to Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan,” the decree, which was published on Friday on the legal information portal, says.
In June, during a visit to Ashgabat, Putin presented the former president of Turkmenistan on the occasion of his 65th birthday with the sculpture “Returning Rider”, chess from Zlatoust masters and two sabers, recall Izvestia in connection with the awarding.
