On Tuesday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov flew around the new buildings of Ashgabat, also assessing the progress of improvement in a number of districts of the capital, after which the projects of new facilities were presented to the head of state.

During the flight, the Turkmen leader paid attention to the medical cluster formed and expanding in the south of the city. So, here it is proposed to build an International Pediatrics Center with a hospital for 160 beds, which will be included in the network of medical centers in Ashgabat.

From the helicopter, the President also inspected the Makhtumkuli cultural and park complex, the administrative and business southern belt of the capital, then the construction of the Academy of Civil Service, the International Health and Rehabilitation Center for 400 people, the new “Tashkent” recreation park in the city center and headed north, where also extensive construction work is underway.

Further, the path of the head of state lay over a large shopping center being built on Magtymguly Avenue, the “Parahat” residential area and the Buzmeyin district, where new houses for Ashgabat residents are being raised.

After the aerial inspection, Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the leadership of the construction and medical sectors, who presented new projects.

Vice Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov informed the President about the plans to renovate the Main Flag Square, design the territory near the Magtymguly monument in the foothills of the Kopetdag, create a park along Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue, and build on Gurbansoltan Eje Avenue 18 9-storey residential buildings and two shopping centers, a school for 720 places, a kindergarten, etc.

Instead of the demolished houses of a long-obsolete building, it is planned to raise new comfortable housing. Sketches of residential buildings that are proposed to be built along Myati Kosaev Street, as well as various engineering structures, were presented.

Deputy Prime Minister Nurmukhammet Amannepesov reported on medical projects, including the International Center for Pediatrics, the Dental Center in Keshi and the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center for 500 places in Choganly, the contractor of which is to be determined during the competition of applications from companies.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to announce an international tender for the construction of the Center for Pediatrics and the Dental Center and instructed to prepare proposals for the construction of complexes of new buildings for the Medical Consultative Center named after S.A. Niyazov and the Educational and Scientific Center for Maternal and Child Health at the M. Garryev State Medical University, as well as announced instructions for other objects and projects.
