Russia is firmly pursuing its course in the world arena – Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov said on Sunday in Ashgabat that despite the conjuncture, Russia continues to firmly pursue its course both within the state and in the international arena. According to RIA Novosti, the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said this while speaking at a reception in honor of Day of Russia at the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat.
Meredov congratulated "all the employees of the embassy and in their person all the people of great Russia on Day of Russia." He noted that "this is really the main holiday of the country, which, in fact, marks the beginning of a new life in modern Russia." According to Meredov, it was from that time that Russia began to live in a new way and, since the declaration of its state sovereignty, has passed a not easy, but very effective path in its development.
“Russia was, is and remains the largest world power in the world political arena,” the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry emphasized.
In his opinion, "the authority of the Russian Federation is high, and the modern, multifunctional and diversified financial and economic system of the country today allows us to say that Russia is a full-fledged, full-fledged participant in world economic relations."
“Despite the situation that is developing today in the political and economic dimension, the Russian Federation continues to firmly and consistently pursue its course, both within the state and in the international arena,” said the head of the Turkmen diplomatic department.
He noted that "the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Moscow, which took place just the day before yesterday, demonstrated the firmness and determination of Turkmenistan to deepen its strategic partnership with Russia."
Meredov also stressed that Turkmenistan will never forget the support that Russia provided to the country during that difficult period, two years ago, when all of humanity was faced with a coronavirus that brought many troubles.
“We are ready for further joint work,” Meredov said.
Speaking at the reception, Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin thanked the guests for participating in the celebration of Day of Russia, "when the whole country, from Vladivostok to the western borders, celebrates the holiday of the unity of Russian society and the historical identity of the people of the country."
The diplomat highly appreciated the results of the high-level Russian-Turkmen talks held in Moscow two days ago, which have seriously advanced bilateral relations.
“Today I would like to note that Turkmen-Russian relations are at the highest point of development, which pleases me as an ambassador, since our embassy also contributes to this,” the Russian plenipotentiary emphasized.
