Russia and Turkmenistan signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of digitalization

Russia and Turkmenistan have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of communications and digitalization, and a corresponding memorandum has been signed. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation on Friday.
"Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Bella Cherkesova and Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakiyev signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of communications and information technologies on June 9," the message reads.
During the meeting, the parties expressed their desire to work out directions on the digitalization of public administration, the development of innovative technologies, as well as the regulation of the radio frequency spectrum.
In addition, it is planned to organize a business mission with the participation of IT companies from both countries in the future.
On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Kremlin.
