Russia to provide Turkmenistan with test systems for the detection of monkeypox

The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing or Rospotrebnadzor will provide Turkmenistan with test systems for the detection of monkeypox and provide advisory assistance, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the press service of the department.
Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova met with the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Nurmukhammed Amannepesov.
“In connection with the registration of cases of monkeypox in a number of countries around the world, Rospotrebnadzor will provide partners from Turkmenistan with tests developed by the Vector scientific center of Rospotrebnadzor for laboratory diagnosis of this disease, and will also provide advisory assistance,” the message says.
Rospotrebnadzor also organizes advanced training courses for Turkmen specialists on the prevention and diagnosis of new and re-emerging infections, the press service noted.
Rospotrebnadzor will continue to cooperate with Turkmenistan in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, the department specified.
