"White City Ashgabat" – a universal perspective for tomorrow

The exhibition "White City of Ashgabat", which opened on Wednesday in the Turkmen capital, has the status of "universal" for a reason. It presents everything that is related to urban planning and development: what houses and roads are built from, and how they are equipped, how a comfortable environment for living is created in domestic and spatial terms.
While many industry exhibitions traditionally focus on the presentation of specialized products, objects and visual materials, the White City of Ashgabat showcases the most diverse exhibits and interdisciplinary projects in their direct interaction with each other and with visitors, inspiring reflection on the future of our cities with their benefits of modern civilization, urbanization, digitalization, greening, etc.
Particular emphasis in this panorama is placed on the possibilities of domestic entrepreneurship, expanding the range of import-substituting products. But the main conceptual idea of the exhibition, after all, is the achievements and prospects of urban planning and those key tasks that are solved by the joint efforts of the authorities and business, economists and programmers, designers and workers, as well as the city residents themselves.
