Foreign figures of theatrical art will take part in the opening of the Theater Festival of Turkmenistan remotely. On May 21, they will deliver greetings to their Turkmen colleagues and viewers via videoconference.

The festival will be held in Ashgabat until May 25, and during these few days, at the end of the Turkmen spring, the best performances performed by all famous troupes of the country will be shown on the stage of the capital's theaters.

Well, in addition to spectacles, the festival program will also include working meetings with the participation of heads of theater groups and leading artists on the further development of this type of performing arts in Turkmenistan, its global trends and social role in modern society.

The plan for holding the theater festival was presented at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Thursday by Deputy Prime Minister for Culture and Media Myakhrijemal Mammedova.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of this creative forum and expressed his opinion on the importance of reflecting the modern life of the country on the theater stage, the continuity of the spiritual values of the Turkmen people.
