The President of Turkmenistan visited the port of Turkmenbashi

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left on Thursday for a trip to the Balkan region and on the same day held an offsite government meeting in Avaza on the development of the Primorye Territory.
The head of state listened to the reports of the vice-premiers and set specific tasks for the leaders. At the meeting of the government, to which leaders of all regions of the country were invited, the preparation of a program for the socio-economic development of the regions for the next seven years was also discussed.
In addition, the President gave instructions to prepare in the best possible way for the upcoming summer holiday season - we are talking about sanatoriums, health and recreation centers of the country. Particular emphasis was placed on the Avaza resort.
After the government meeting, the head of state visited the port of Turkmenbashi and got acquainted with its activities. As the president was informed, the port annually receives an average of 1,500 ships and more, and there is a tendency to increase this figure. The Turkmen leader also visited the production site of the shipbuilding plant, which is part of the port industry.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov's trip to the Balkan region will continue with the participation of the head of state on Friday at the opening and laying of new facilities.
