Turkmenistan increased gas exports to China by almost 1.5 times in 2022

Turkmenistan continues to rank first in the export of pipeline natural gas to China: in January-February 2022, China imported $1.44 billion from Turkmen gas (an increase of 1.47 times), according to statistics from the General Customs Administration of China.

In second place is Russia ($526.9 million), followed by Myanmar ($224.6 million), Kazakhstan ($105.1 million) and Uzbekistan ($48.4 million).

According to published statistics, the leading supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China in January-February was Australia ($3.57 billion), followed by Qatar ($2.32 billion), Malaysia ($1.87 billion), Indonesia ($746 million) , Russia ($503 million) and the USA ($665 million).
