Technology Transfer Center – such a unit was created at the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in early 2022. The new structure was established as part of the implementation of the State Program for Improving the Quality of Research and Innovative Technologies in order to introduce scientific developments of CT AST specialists into various sectors of the economy on the basis of self-supporting agreements.
The activities of the Technology Transfer Center (TTC) involve a wide range of functional tasks that help accelerate the innovation activity of the country's economic entities and create additional incentives for the development of scientific research.
– The main direction of our work is the search, selection, promotion and commercialization of promising technologies and scientific developments, analysis of their commercial potential, attraction of investments, as well as assistance in obtaining intellectual property rights, – explains the head of the Center for Technology Transfer of the CT AST, Candidate of Economic Sciences Ogulsurai Ataev.
–To do this, a network of professional contacts is being created with the involvement of representatives of all interested parties in the work of the Center both to search for innovative business ideas and to develop commercial projects, – she continues. – We first determine the commercial potential of scientific developments, calculate the final results of their introduction into production, and on this basis prepare proposals, business plans, and feasibility studies.
This activity also provides for conducting marketing research on the market of innovative technologies and the formation of a portfolio of technological requests and projects, scientific developments and engineering solutions that meet the specific needs of the business.
“Successful implementation of the tasks set for the Center for Technology Transfer will make it possible to intensify the creation and development of innovative industries in the country, to promote the establishment of effective interaction between science and production,” commented Durdymurad Gadamov, head of the CT AST, in an interview with ORIENT.
