New ambassador of Germany Neithart Höfer-Wissing handed today his credentials to the president of Turkmenistan.
During the formal reception Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude to the German government of Germany for support of Turkmen initiatives in the United Nations and cooperation for peace and security.
In his turn, the ambassador noted success of a number of realized joint projects and stated for expansion of relations in such priority areas as power energy, trade, agriculture, public health services and others.
The attention was given to humanitarian contacts, cultural and scientific exchanges.
Neithart Höfer-Wissing replaced as head of the diplomatic mission of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ashgabat Margaret Maria Jubber who worked at this post since July, 2016.
Before appointment to Turkmenistan Höfer-Wissing was the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tajikistan, earlier – in Uzbekistan, worked in Russia and other countries, and also international organizations.
For today Germany enters into the first five countries to import goods to Turkmenistan. Deliveries make up basically the equipment, cars, machinery, high-precision equipment, including that of medical designation.
