Today Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed by telephone the state of bilateral cooperation, ecology and scientific cooperation. This was reported in the evening news release of the Turkmen state television and radio.
Mr.Berdimuhamedov congratulated Mr.Nazarbayev on his 80th birthday. The national leader of Kazakhstan is well known and respected in Turkmenistan as a wise politician, said the President. Turkmen citizens are also very happy about the recovery of Elbasy, who suffered from a coronavirus disease.
The head of Turkmenistan noted the importance of active scientific diplomacy in addressing issues common to the region and the world, including overcoming the coronavirus pandemic.
Viruses can also move along with air currents, and the ability of infections to be transmitted through the air is affected by another factor such as the ecological environment. In this regard, one of the main cause of environmental exposure of Central Asia is the Aral Sea problem.
Mr.Berdimuhamedov recalled a summit of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea held in August 2018 in Turkmenistan, where Mr.Nazarbayev supported Turkmenistan’s proposals to solve issues of the Aral Sea at the UN level.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed readiness to mend systematic interaction between medical scientists, environmental experts and other specialists of the two countries in order to create conditions for improving the ecological environment in the Central Asian region, protecting human health and countering the pandemic.
