Moscow will discuss the influence of the Great Silk Road on the musical culture of the East and West

On November 3rd, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Great Silk Road in the History of the Development of Musical Culture: Past and Present” will be opened at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts in Moscow.

The main goal of the event is to search for deep links between musical cultures of East and West in the context of their interaction on the Great Silk Road.

The conference is organized with the support of the Moscow International Fund for UNESCO in the framework of the IV Moscow International Art Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmammadov.

Those wishing to become a part of this cultural event, including experts in the field of ethnoculture, culturologists, sociologists, musicians, scientists, as well as students and teachers of higher educational institutions, can prepare speeches on the following topics: “Nury Halmammedov’s Creativity: the 80th Anniversary of the Composer”, “Philosophy of the East in the space of the world artistic culture”, “Social reality in the context of ethnoculture”, “Interdependence of European academic and national ethnic musical cultures” and others.
