MMA fighters from Turkmenistan renewed the medals’ piggy bank

From May 28 to June 6, the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky, Ukraine, hosted the MMA World Cup Tournament.

What it MMA? Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that allows striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from various combat sports and martial arts. And it is a very spectacular sport.

Especially when 550 masters from 15 countries of the world come to one city. Despite tough competition and close duel, three sportsmen from Turkmenistan won ten medals, eight of which are gold.

Shohrat Orazgeldiyev became the best in the categories MMA-Elite, MMA-Full and MMA-Grappling. The latter discipline has a large number of grappling in addition to striking.

Orazgeldi Orazgeldiyev, who won two gold and one silver medal, has same results. He did not leave any chances to his rivals in the MMA-Grappling and MMA-Full competitions and became the second in the MMA Light category.

The coach of the “Hanmudo” Martial Arts Federation of Turkmenistan Shohrat Allayev won four medals. He was the best in the MMA-Full, MMA-Light and MMA-Forms (with nunchaku) and silver medalist in the MMA-Grappling.
