More than 180 journalists from the CIS countries arrived in Ashgabat to cover the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers and the Summit of Heads of State.
Leading international media, including TASS, Interfax, RIA Novosti, Bloomberg, Russia Today, RT, Belta, Arm Info, Habar, Uzreport TV, First Channel Eurasia, AZERTAÇ and many others, during two days, broadcasted the most relevant news to the countries of the Commonwealth and beyond, informing the world about key decisions made at the meetings.
The Declaration on the strategic economic partnership of the Commonwealth states, the Address of the Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States participating countries to the People of the Nations of the Commonwealth and World Community on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Soviet People’s Victory in 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War are among resolutions adopted.
The Uzbek media paid special attention to the Summit in Ashgabat. Next year, Uzbekistan, for the first time, will oversee the chairmanship of the Commonwealth of Independent States. And the head of the country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, giving speech at the meeting, noted that Turkmenistan set an exemplary chairmanship act to follow.
