Kurban Berdyev ranks among 2017 world top football managers

According to the British Football Journal FourFourTwo (www.fourfourtwo.com), Manager of FC Rubin Kazan Kurban Berdyev ranks among 50 best fooball managers in the world in 2017.

The Turkmen football manager ranks the 36th in the list, and the journal calls him ‘a giant slayer’.

“Berdyev’s ability to turn ordinary players into classy performers is incredible”, says the publication. He led the previously anonymous club – Rubin Kazan to two Russian championship titles in a row in 2008 and 2009 – and achieved success in the Champions League too, beating Barcelona at the Camp Nou. The publication also mentions Berdyev’s job with FC Rostov. He took over in December 2014 with the club, and Rostov gained the victory over Anderlecht, Ajax and Bayern.

“Berdyev returned to Rubin this summer – and you should expect them to excel again under his guidance” – the journal says.

It is notable that the football manager of the RF Champion – FC Spartak Moscow footbal manager Massimo Carrera ranks the 44th in the list.
