Japan will introduce online health questionnaires for tourists

Japan will introduce an online version of the health questionnaire that travelers must fill before entering the Land of the rising sun.

The online questionnaire will soon be available in test mode for passengers of some international flights arriving at Narita Airport not far from Tokyo. The questionnaire is currently being distributed to passengers of arriving flights.

Thanks to the new system, which will be more widely implemented later this year, arriving passengers can fill in questionnaire on the website of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Security before leaving. Then they will be provided with a personal QR code.

Japan is going to re-open its borders to foreigners arriving for medical, cultural and sports purposes within three months. Business trips lasting less than three months will also be allowed.

Travelers will be required to submit a negative test for coronavirus before entering Japan. Upon arrival, they will spend 14 days in self-isolation and must avoid using public transport during the quarantine period.
