Istanbul Airport is the first in the world to receive the Airport Health Accreditation Certificate

The Istanbul Airport was the first in the world to receive the Airport Health Accreditation Certificate, according to Turkish News Agency Anadolu.

The certificate was issued as part of a program launched on July 24, 2020 by the Airports Council International (ACI), the IGA Concern, Istanbul Airport managing company said.

Thus, the Istanbul Airport entered the list of airports with the most enhanced sanitary and epidemiological security in Turkey and in the world. Due to the strict healthcare measures taken after the outbreak of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) pandemic, the Istanbul Airport previously obtained the Airport Pandemic Certificate of the General Turkish Civil Aviation Administration.

In addition, the Istanbul Airport has signed earlier the Protocol on Flight Safety in view of with COVİD-19, promulgated by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
