Iran to host Youth Volleyball Championship in 2021

The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) agreed to hold 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men Under 19 World Championship in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Following proposals from various countries, the International Federation has announced the hosts of the 2021 World Cup for different age groups. At the same time, Iran will also host the U19 World Championship.

The Men’s Youth Volleyball World Championships are competitions for men’s youth teams sponsored by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). They have been held since 1977. The first world championships were held once every 4 years on odd years. Since 1985, the competition has been held once every two years on odd years. Athletes under 21 years of age participate in the competition.

Iran previously hosted the U-19 Volleyball World Championship in 1997, and the U-21 Volleyball World Championship in 2003.
