International Children’s Day: Children’s Rocky Festival in Ashgabat

On the threshold of the International Children’s Day, Ashgabat hosted the Children’s Rocky Festival organized by the Mountaineering Club Agama with the support of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy, as well as the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly.

Each of the participants was looking forward to ascending the top of the climbing wall in the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center and getting a share of adrenaline rush. The participants included both beginners and those for whom climbing has long been a favorite activity.

– Last year, my grandson was small yet, so he could not participate, but now we have decided to try it. I can say that Islam is physically prepared, as our athlete uncle regularly trains him, Natalya Valerievna, one of the festival guests says. – We often go to the mountains.

It seems that these young “climbers” were not afraid of any heights. Ascending the climbing wall, they no longer wanted to climb down. Some of them even set their own personal records, having gone through all the stages in a minimum period of time. For example, Alexander climbed all the climbing walls in 10 minutes. Last time, it took a lot more time.

Every year, the Children’s Rocky Festival in Ashgabat brings together over a hundred participants. Agama conducts training in sport climbing with children from 6 years of age in the sport and fitness complex “Demirelchi”. Practical exercises with a trip to the mountains are also organized.
